Lincoln County Dems hold caucus
An address from Governor Janet Mills – a candidate for the U.S. Senate, a live video feed from Washington, D.C. from famed writer and history professor Heather Cox Richardson (a Round Pond resident) and several speeches from state and local candidates were the highlights of the Lincoln County Democratic Committee’s caucus held at Medomak Valley High School on Saturday, Feb. 28.
About 300 people attended the caucus who also heard from or about gubernatorial candidates Hannah Pingree, Nirav Shah, Angus King III. The caucus also featured the local band, The Gulch, who played inspired popular music. There was also a farewell to termed-out local candidate Rep. Holly Stover.
After the caucus business was completed, an urgent and impassioned closing remarks were delivered by Maine State Democrat Executive Director Devon Murphy-Anderson.
Reminder: The Boothbay Region Democratic Committee is conducting its ’26 caucus on Saturday, March 7, 2-4 p.m., at the Boothbay Harbor Rotary Club.
