Library welcomes Joanna Breen
The Boothbay Harbor Memorial Library is excited to welcome Joanna Breen as the newest member of the staff. Breen assumes the position of assistant library director.
Breen was born and raised in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and attended Cambridge Rindge and Latin High School. She went on to complete her undergraduate degree in documentary studies at the College of Santa Fe, New Mexico, and continued her master degree studies at Simmons Graduate School of Library and Information Science, graduating with honors in 2012.
Breen has worked full time as a marketing librarian and a reference librarian, most recently at the Belmont Public Library in Massachusetts.
“I moved to the Boothbay Harbor region because I was looking for a change of pace from city living and was charmed by the Boothbay Harbor Memorial Library and its community,” Breen said. “I am thrilled to be joining the dedicated team at Boothbay Harbor Memorial Library and excited to be living in an area where you can see the stars.”
