The Junior Program of the Boothbay Harbor Yacht Club is pleased to report the selection of Chris Liberti of Stonington, Connecticut as director of sailing effective immediately.

Liberti comes to us from the directorship of the program at Stonington Harbor Yacht Club and prior to that as lead instructor and sailing coordinator at the University of Rhode Island.

Chris has been teaching sailing for eight years and holds both Level One and Level Two U.S. Sailing ratings. He is a graduate of URI and also holds a master’s degree in education from that institution. In the winter months Chris is a junior high science and math teacher.

Liberti is a sailing safety expert and has already designed a new safety program for BHYC Junior activities. He will assume his duties immediately and is now actively involved with Junior Program Chair Andy Holmes and Club Manager Jim Matel in the selection and hiring of instructional staff.
