Last Community Lunch of the season served by OLQOP men and women

The last Community Lunch of the 24-25 season on March 24 was hosted by Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church. The ladies and gentlemen of the church provided chicken pot pie, Caesar salad, cole slaw, bread and desserts.
Momma T's haddock chowder was expertly served by fill-in Riley Mitchell as Lisa Hallinan was out of town. He wasn't intimidated at all by the task given him and was able to make sure everyone who wanted chowder got it with evenly scooped fish and potatoes!
Darrell Gudroe started off the final lunch with the weekly announcements and introduced Howard and Dee Wright who presented all the weekly volunteers with red roses.
Interesting useless factoid of this year's Community Lunch: Momma T made 1,440 servings of haddock chowder using 120 pounds of haddock, 120 pounds of potatoes, 50 pounds of onions, 12 gallons of milk, 48 cans of evaporated milk, and 26 pounds of butter.
Recommendation to anyone who wants to make chowder would be to cut back on the ingredients!
A post Community Luncheon with weekly volunteers to wrap up and schedule next year's hosts will be had later in the spring.
Thanks to all the hosts, guests, volunteers and donors for making this fourth season of Community Lunch awesome. See you in November!
