Event Date
Wednesday, December 23, 2026 - 07:00 pmLincoln Theater is pleased to welcome singer-songwriter Aly Apaltro, stage name Lady Lamb, for a special performance of “An Evening with Strings,” Friday, Oct. 23 at 7 p.m. Join us for this intimate evening in the historic 150-year-old theater and enjoy music by a local breakout star.
Aly Spaltro’s musical career began in Brunswick, Maine. In her early days as a songwriter, Spaltro stayed after hours at her video rental store job to record songs, developing the intimate, self-produced sound and poetic songwriting that would become hallmarks of her work. She built an audience through live performance, earning a reputation as a compelling performer and a breakout artist throughout New England before moving to New York at age 20 to continue developing the songs that would become her acclaimed debut album, "Ripely Pine."
Spaltro has since released four studio albums, co-producing and arranging her records while maintaining a strong emphasis on music that connects with audiences and builds community. Her live performances have become known for their emotional intensity and intimacy, including performances that have begun with Spaltro singing a cappella alone on a darkened stage.
This year marks the 10th anniversary of "Ripely Pine," and Spaltro is celebrating with the release of "In the Mammoth Nothing of the Night," a five-LP box set released Aug. 18 on Ba Da Bing Records. The collection features remastered versions of the original songs along with extensive additional material produced and arranged by Spaltro and mixed by original co-producer Nadim Issa.
Looking back on the music she created as a young artist, Spaltro describes the box set as a way of honoring the beginning of her musical life. “I wrote some of these songs when I was 18, learning how to play the instruments and record with my digital 8-track along the way,” Spaltro says. “This box set is a way to honor that whole time, the beginning of the path of my life.”
