Keepers of Burnt Island Light welcome new development director
The Keepers of Burnt Island Light (KBIL) are pleased to announce that Patricia Miller has joined the organization as its new development director.
Miller, of Bath, brings years of nonprofit fundraising experience to the Keepers. She has led major capital and annual campaigns, built endowment and planned giving programs, and worked with organizations in Ohio, South Carolina, and Maine to strengthen community support for their missions.
“We are thrilled to welcome Patricia to the Keepers of Burnt Island Light,” said Doug Goldhirsch, president of the board. “Her extensive skills and passion will help us preserve Burnt Island’s history and expand its educational programs so that future generations can enjoy this special place.”
In her new role, Miller will work closely with the KBIL board, and community partners to focus on building lasting donor relationships and supporting the Keepers’ efforts to maintain the island, its historic lighthouse, and the unique educational programs offered there.
The Keepers of Burnt Island Light is a nonprofit working in partnership with the Maine Department of Marine Resources to preserve the island and share its history with the community.
