The Boothbay Region Garden Club is fundraising for the American Cancer Society with a local Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk on Sunday, Oct. 4 at 1 p.m.

The walk will start at St. Columba’s Episcopal Church, 32 Emery Lane, Boothbay Harbor. Participants will walk the nearby Penny Lake Preserve.

Registration will be held on site before the walk. Donations: Check only, made out to the American Cancer Society.

Participants are urged to wear pink!
