Dear Editor:

A note to my Boothbay Harbor neighbors. In case you aren’t aware, the town was able this year to reduce our tax obligation by transferring to us various savings which the town departments were able to deliver by various efficiencies and by continuing to watch their budgets. This is good news!

And while it may be disappointing that so few people attended the town meeting, to me it is indicative of a “job well done” by our Town Manager Tom Woodin, his staff and department heads. No controversies to bring out the folks to have their voices heard. That must mean that things are running smoothly, and this is a good thing.
