Dear Editor:

Another salting and sanding for less than 1/4 inch of snow.

Does the Boothbay public works really think it needs to do this.

It is totally out of control; there is enough sand left on the roads after the department’s overuse for the last storms to last the rest of the winter. The state DOT was out again plowing, sanding, salting and spraying, all for 1/4 inch of snow.

It is now 10 a.m. on January 26. The snow will be melted off soon from the sun. What a waste of taxpayer money.
