Dear Editor:

All I read and hear from many of the anti-gun faction is ideology, where facts are ignored and ideology is king. Where is critical thinking?

Although you probably don’t care, here are three items for you:

1. Adolph Hitler on the 1935 Weapons Act after it was made law in Germany: “This year will go down in history. For the first time a civilized nation has full gun registration, our streets will be safer, our police more efficient and the world will follow our lead into the future.”

2. We don’t blame cars for crashes, or beer for drunk driving, so don’t blame firearms for shootings.

3. Criminals prefer unarmed citizens; Dictators prefer unarmed citizens.
