Dear Editor:

Thank you, Cathy Sherrill, for bringing Carlos Nunez and his band to Boothbay. It was one of the most energized concerts I have experienced on St. Paddy's Day in a long time. The music was joyful, haunting, exciting and most of all full of spirit. We clapped, stamped our feet, danced and just had a grand old time.

Nunez was a showman, a magnificent entertainer, gracious and fun. His musical prowess on the Galitian bagpipe, flutes and whistles was exhilarating and oh, so rich. The music was so diverse with melodies from Spain and Ireland to Brazil, Mexico and Cuba. All with a Celtic flair — who would have thought. Bravo!
