Spring(?!!?) has arrived and with it extended hours at the Friends of the Library Used Book Store. The store opens Monday, May 6; hours:  Monday through Saturday 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. We cordially welcome all readers, donors and volunteers.

In keeping with the rest of the town, county and state, ours is an aging population with our share of limitations. With that thought in mind, please consider volunteering to assist us in providing much needed financial assistance to our beloved Library. We are in sore need of a knowledgeable crafter/quilter to sort, price, and shelve the many books we receive on such subjects. We would also warmly welcome general subject sorters and a few desk people, if only as substitutes. If any of you are so inclined, please call Sam at 350-6772 or Ann at 633-7228.

We ask you also to keep in mind our necessarily narrow parameters for donations: gently used books; please no magazines yearbooks,encyclopedias, damaged or mildewed books or Readers Digest Condensed Books.
