Free ice cream at Hendricks Hill Museum July 4
The Hendricks Hill Museum will host an Ice Cream Social on Saturday, July 4 from noon to 2 p.m. on the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. Join us at 419 Hendricks Hill Road (Route 27), in Southport for this delicious event!
Scoops of vanilla ice cream with blueberries or strawberries and whipped cream, or the ever popular chocolate and it will be served at Earl and Emolyn Pratt’s lunch counter. You can sit on the stools, but don’t spin them!
Explore Southport history, where island living is preserved and documented for future generations. Check out our boat shop and its numerous displays, peek in the brick oven in our homestead kitchen, and learn about the generations of commercial fishermen who sustained our island’s economy. Did you know that the main part of our museum was built by the Cameron Family roughly 34 years after the birth of the United States of America?
There is no charge for this event family friendly event. Donations to the museum are always appreciated and memberships applications will be available. Celebrate the 4th of July in style with free ice cream at the Hendricks Hill Museum.
