Fortunate for ER
Tue, 09/10/2013 - 2:00pm
Dear Editor:
I recently suffered a peanut allergy attack and had to be taken to St. Andrews Hospital by the Boothbay Region Ambulance Service. I suffered the attack at about 8:30 p.m. and was fortunate that the emergency room was still open. I was not discharged until about 1 a.m.
The paramedics on the ambulance were very professional, and if it wasn’t for them administering the proper medical treatment in a prompt manner, I would have had to stay longer in the ER. The ER people and Dr. Murray were very good and helped greatly in my recovery.
