Fairness and oppression

Dear Editor:
“The oppression of anyone is not allowed” is a statement made in a letter to the editor in the Jan. 28 issue.
Has the writer not seen or heard how Muslim women are treated in their own countries? Isn’t that oppression?
Perhaps a re-reading of the Koran would be helpful as well.
