With its white head contrasted against its dark torso, this eagle was not hard to spot as it landed on a dead tree next to a pond off Back Narrows Road, Boothbay on Thursday afternoon, May 16. From about 75 yards away and using a Nikon 50-200 mm lens, the photographer was happy to get off these shots in case the eagle got suspicious and flew away.
