'Dig Into Reading' summer program begins next week

All programs are sponsored by CLICK and are free to the participants, so sign up now. CLICK is a collaborative effort of the Boothbay Harbor Memorial Library and the Opera House. Below is next week's schedule:
Saturday, July 13, 2 p.m.: Farmer Minor and His Famous Pig Daisy: “Pig Out on Reading” with Farmer Minor and his famous pig Daisy at the Railway Village in Boothbay. The Farmer Minor event is part of a bigger event beginning at 12:30: Books in Boothbay: Maine’s Summer Book Fair.
Monday, July 15, 10 a.m.: Tidepooling at the Maine State Aquarium: Bring along your water shoes and get ready to dig under rocks and seaweed to find what hides below on the shores near the Maine State Aquarium. This program is geared for ages 5 and up. (Those 10 and below will require a chaperone.)
Tuesday, July 16, 10 a.m.: Canine Police Workers: Join Detective Scott Hayden and his dog Koda as they demonstrate the drug-sniffing and tracking abilities of these trained canines. For all ages.
Wednesday, July 17, 10 a.m.: Scavenger Hunt in the Harbor: Come dig for clues in the “Habah.” A historical scavenger hunt is planned for kids age 5 and up … treasures to be found.
Thursday, July 18, 10 a.m.: The Mudmobile: The Watershed Mudmobile is presenting a ceramics class on the library lawn. The target audience is ages 5 and up. Create your masterpiece, then in a short time it will be delivered back to the library for pickup.
Thursday, July 18, 2 p.m.: at Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens: Meet us at the Education Building at Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens to explore a beautiful world of five senses. Our program is for all ages, but chaperones for children are a must.
Friday, July 19, 10 a.m.: An Ice Cream Social Story Hour: Dig Into reading and ice cream as we conclude our week of “digging.”
