Diabetes support group will separate dietary fact from fiction
The Lincoln County Healthcare Diabetes Support Group will take a hard look at the sometimes conflicting dietary information available from a wide variety of sources at their meeting on January 22.
Ann Boe, a registered dietitian at the Miles Campus of LincolnHealth, will review the latest dietary trends and discuss healthy alternatives. She will also help participants understand whether the information they are reading in magazines or hearing from family and friends is reliable.
The meeting will begin at 7 p.m. in the third floor diabetes classroom on the Miles Campus of LincolnHealth. All are welcome. For additional information, please contact Kathy or Karen at 207-563-4442.
The Lincoln County Healthcare Diabetes Support Group meets every other month, usually on the fourth Wednesday of the month, to share experiences and send the message that no one should have to deal with diabetes alone.
The Lincoln County Healthcare Diabetes Education Program provides a range of services to diabetes patients and their families and has achieved accreditation by the American Association of Diabetes Educators for the provision of quality services.
