Dear Editor:

As a former year-round resident and now seasonal one, with long-term plans to return to the region and pass on this amazing treasure to our children and their children, I have great concern with ongoing commercial and proposed planning projects.

I strongly suggest the towns of Boothbay and Boothbay Harbor, for the long-term benefit of all residents and guests alike, seek outside guidance from design professionals with expertise in creating (maintaining and enhancing) places that engage people, nurture community, respect the towns' histories and culture and will stand the test of time for future generations.
