The Boothbay Region Historical Society intends to have a Civil War exhibit consisting of artifacts and documents relating to Boothbay sailors, soldiers, and home life during the period. It will open during our Harbor Lights open house on Saturday, Dec. 7, at our Boothbay Harbor museum at 72 Oak Street and will run for a number of months.

If members of the public have any Boothbay artifacts or documents tied to Boothbay men and women who were involved with the war effort, we may like to borrow them to display, including bullets, uniforms, caps, belts, canteens, diaries, letters, discharge papers and commendations. Drop in or call the museum at 207-633-0820 if you have something of interest. Someone will contact you.
