Children’s books and movies are on sale at half-price from June 1 through June 14 at the Skidompha Secondhand Book Shop in downtown Damariscotta.

All genres of books are included, with fiction and non-fiction for every age level and every interest.

Rosie Bensen, co-manager of the shop, says, “We have hundreds of children’s books, and a great selection in all areas. We also have quite a few movies. This is the perfect time to stock up for all those summer reading and entertainment needs.”

The shop, located at 17 Backstreet Landing, is open every day from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Besides books, it offers music CDs and records; movies on VCR and DVD; and puzzles and games. All items are donated, all staff members are volunteers, and proceeds support the programs and collections of Skidompha Public Library. Donations are accepted whenever the shop is open.
