Channel 6 comes to Boothbay Harbor

A WCSH 6 television news crew was in Boothbay Harbor March 10 shooting video of Hannah Morley for the station’s “Teens Who Care” spots, which will feature Morley in the April/May ads and spots.
Kim Charland, special projects producer, and cameraman Kyle Bourgoin were here doing the shoots and interviewing Morley and some of the people who were involved in bringing her into the spotlight. Charland said they were here to film Morley's profile. When completed there will be a profile that will be around three minutes long, and a 30-second commercial. Both will appear, sporadically, on Channel 6 during the months of April and May.
Charland said they had been at the police station talking to Officer Larry Brown, who was the force behind the process of nominating Morley for the honor. The crew shot some film on the waterfront in the harbor, and went to the YMCA to interview Andy Hamblett, who had included his own glowing account of Morley.
On Thursday afternoon they were at the YMCA filming and interviewing Morley and three of the younger students who were recipients of a program initiated by Morley, Future Lady Seahawks.
“Our award winners are students that have been nominated by someone in the community,” Charland said. “Everyone has such great things to say about the award winner, and it's hard to choose what to run and what has to be cut.”
Morley's profile will air beginning on Sunday, April 3 and the 30 second commercials will start airing on Monday, April 4.
