This Saturday, May 10, is Rebuilding Day. Gather up your hammer, rakes and paintbrushes, and meet us in the parking lot of Our Lady Queen of Peace at 7:30 a.m.

After a quick briefing and a snack to fortify you, teams will be assigned to one the many projects to help keep area residents safe in their homes. It’s a fun day with lots of rewards, knowing that you can lend a helping hand to improve the life of a neighbor. It’s not too late to sign up to volunteer; applications will be available Saturday morning.

The mission of Rebuilding Together is to repair the houses of low-income homeowners in need, particularly the elderly, disabled and families with children, so they can live in warmth, safety and independence.
