Burnt Island Light featured at Bath Savings
Sat, 01/26/2019 - 7:00am
Bath Savings Institution wishes to evidence support of the local business community by highlighting one of our business or non-profit Neighbor to Neighbor customers each month.
For the next few weeks, we are featuring the Burnt Island Light, which was built in 1821 and is the second oldest surviving lighthouse in Maine. It hosts a living history tour run by the Keepers of Burnt Island Light.
The lighthouse station is in need of restoration. The Keepers of the Burnt Island Light are hoping their “Keep the Lights Burning” campaign will return it to its glory before 2021, the Light’s 200 year anniversary.
To make a donation towards the restoration of the station, visit www.keepersofburntislandlight.com/make-a-donation.html OR mail to: Keepers of Burnt Island Light, P.O. Box 738, Boothbay Harbor, Maine 04538
We invite you to come see this display at our branch which is located at 1 Todd Avenue in Boothbay Harbor.
