A Boothbay Region Garden Club board meeting will be held Wednesday, April 11 at 10 a.m. at St. Andrews Village. The club’s general meeting will be held at p.m. April 11 at St. Columba’s Church. Guest speaker will be Mark Meules who will give a brief history of the Viles Arboretum, our state arboretum in Augusta. The program focus will be native trees, shrubs and naturally occurring foliage. “Flowers for Fun" will be a feature of the general meeting with the theme of “Spring Surprises.” Hopefully wonderful blooms are springing up in your gardens. Please bring a vertical design in a suitable vase. Arrangements should arrive in a timely manner before the meeting. Also, please bring along your unloved and unused items for this month's annual White Elephant sale.
