Boothbay Harbor Rotary Club
After a great social time and dinner entertaining several fun guests, we all “galloped” into a fun evening of horse racing Aug. 29.
Our social committee outdid themselves. Charlotte Jameson created six horse heads that sat on pedestals made by husband, Rick. Our race announcer, Karen Pritchard, ran three fast moving races. The six horses moved along the track toward the finish line as their numbers came up on the dice. Just as at the track, you could bet on your favorite horse and cheer them on to the finish line. You received a payout if your horse won!
Ever wonder what the Coast Guard Auxiliary is? Have you noticed Auxiliary Patrol signs on boats and wondered what that meant? Do you want to know more about navigating Midcoast Maine? Has your boat been inspected by the Auxiliary? David Eastwood, a member of the Auxiliary in Boothbay Harbor, will be speaking this week about the various activities of Auxiliary.
