Sophomore Tatum French scored 22 points and the Boothbay Region Seahawks girls varsity basketball team got its first win of the season, 41-39, in Kittery Dec. 21.

Boothbay (1-3), trailed by 11 at the half, 25-14, but held the Rangers (0-4) to 14 points in the second half. Junior Anna Gosselin and senior Meg Sledge each added six points and junior Bella Orr had five points.

The Seahawks are scheduled to travel to Hiram on Saturday, Dec. 23 for a 1 p.m. game against Sacopee Valley (1-2).
