The 25th annual Boothbay Charities Classic, a fundraiser for Special Olympics Maine, got underway Friday, Sept. 25 with a lobster bake and sports auction. Over 200 sports celebrities, guests and committee members gathered under the tent at the Boothbay Railway Village to enjoy an evening of eating lobster, reuniting with old friends and bidding on dozens of donated sports related items for the fundraiser.
The golf tournament was scheduled to get underway at 8:30 Saturday morning at the Boothbay Harbor Country Club, with a presentation of a check to Special Olympics Maine held this afternoon. Over
