The Boothbay-Boothbay Harbor CSD School Committee will meet at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 23 in the Boothbay Region High School library. Desiree Scorcia will speak on later start times for students and STEM teacher Chris Liberti and students will present the latest on robotics class.

Usual reports from student body representative Faith Blethen, special services and technology from Lida Smith, Boothbay Region Elementary School updates from Mark Tess and Tricia Campbell, and BRHS updates from Dan Welch and Allan Crocker will precede a budget review from Superintendent Keith Laser.

The committee is scheduled to debrief the Jan. 16 board of trustees meeting, and discuss a joint meeting with trustees on the future of the buildings and a meeting of all Boothbay and Boothbay Harbor voters on the future of pre K-12 education.

Under new business, the committee will appoint a board representative to the Boothbay Region Education Foundation and will review and vote on the 2019 spring coach list. Hannah Johnson and Janet Sprague will present the latest in the College and Career Access program and Scott Hardwick will address a possible boys lacrosse club.
