BHML conducts its second annual Giving Tuesday (Week!) annual fund drive
Did you know that Boothbay Harbor Memorial Library is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization? Library services have been funded for 100 years by donations from our community.
This Giving Tuesday (Week!), unlock a matching donation for your Library. Donate toward the goal of $6,000 and help unlock anonymous gifts totalling $6,000.
Donate online, by check, or cash during Dec. 3–Dec. 7 to support this fundraising effort. Visit bbhlibrary.org/givingweek or text “GivingWeek” to 50155 to learn more or to make your online donation. Every gift makes a difference!
BHML is committed to adapting to meet the needs of our community, and your support makes everything happen. Many on our peninsula need basic technology education, so we increased outreach to meet folks where they are–at the Community Center, St. Andrew’s Village, and local neighborhoods that we visit with the Community Resource Council. While free on-site Tech Help appointments have been available and consistently utilized for years, BHML’s Traveling Tech Help initiative is one of the many innovative programs your donations make possible.
The library’s annual fundraising goal for 2024 is $140,000, funding ~40% BHML’s daily operations, collection development, and all-ages programming. As of press date, BHML has received $121,289.89 in individual donations. We thank all of our patrons and donors for their immense support–we are so close to achieving our goal!
