Boothbay celebrates graduating athletes at senior night
As the Boothbay baseball team heads into playoffs, they celebrated six Seahawk seniors at their final regular season home game June 3. Each senior was presented a flower by their coaches that they brought to family members and other loved ones.
“The flower represents our appreciation for not only our senior athlete, but for the people that have helped make their participation possible,” said Athletic Director Allan Crocker at the ceremony.
Crocker announced them as follows:
Bailey Lewis, daughter of Chelsea Lewis, has been the manager of the baseball team for one season. She plans to attend Southern Maine Community College (SMCC) to study surgical technology.
Tyson French, son of Ginnie and Steve Arsenault, played baseball for one season. He plans to enter the workforce as a lobsterman next year.
Maddox Cusumano, son of Mike and Corinne Cusumano, played varsity baseball for four seasons. He plans to attend SMCC to study business and continue playing baseball.
Sam Markowitz, son of Steve and Lisa Markowitz, played varsity baseball for four seasons. He plans to attend the University of Maine Farmington to major in biology.
Aidric Canada, son of Kyle Canada and Erica Moser; stepson to Ashley Canada; and brother to Caleb and Camden Canada. He played varsity baseball for four seasons and plans to join the Coast Guard.
Liam Jacobs, son of Sharman Provan and William Jacobs, has played varsity baseball for four seasons. He plans to attend SMCC next year.
