Seahawks leash Bulldogs with 14-4 win
The Boothbay baseball team won 14-4 against Hall-Dale May 30 at Farmingdale. The Seahawks are now 6-8 and remain ranked fourth in Southern Class C.
Boothbay came out scoring five runs in the first inning, with a two-run response by Hall-Dale in the second. Boothbay scored another run in the third, and both teams scored two in the fourth. The Seahawks kept up their momentum, scoring three runs in both the sixth and seventh innings. Boothbay had three errors and Hall-Dale had nine.
Maddox Cusumano and Shawn Gamage each scored three runs and had a hit. Liam Jacobs and Aidric Canada each scored a run and had two hits and two RBIs. Casey Phelps scored a run, had one hit and three RBIs. Matthew Reed scored a run and had a hit. Sam Markowitz, Aiden Locke, and Les White each scored a run. Colby Doucette scored a run and had a hit and an RBI. Cale Rogers had a hit and an RBI, and Mason Paquette had a hit.
Phelps pitched for Boothbay and threw five strikeouts, and he allowed three walks and two earned runs. Boothbay struck out six times, walked 11 times and had eight earned runs.
