Dear Editor:

I serve as the chairman of the Boothbay Harbor Planning Board and have done so for over the past three years. I also attend numerous selectmen’s meetings and am involved in a variety of town boards and committees. Basically, I am in a position to observe a lot of what transpires in town government.

Since her arrival as reporter of the selectmen’s meetings, I have witnessed Katrina Clark's consistent, fair and professional performance. She always arrives early to the meetings, unobtrusively records what transpires, and often asks straightforward direct questions to the board. I feel her continued presence helps to maintain the transparency and access that the residents of Boothbay Harbor need and appreciate.

Please know that when I see Katrina sitting in the audience, I know the news (however painful or tedious ... which it often is) will be effectively and clearly reported to the town. Thank you for providing us with an individual of such high quality and character.
