BRHS cheerleaders qualify for state competition

On Saturday Jan. 27, the Boothbay Region High School Seahawks cheerleaders qualified for the state competition (Feb. 10, Cross Insurance Center, Bangor) during regionals at the Augusta Civic Center.
The Seahawks’ 10-member squad, under the direction of coach Elizabeth Tilton, performed their routine for hundreds of fans and was selected as one of the six teams to advance on. The team participates in several events, including “Cheers From the Heart,” a fundraiser for the American Heart Association, on Saturday, Feb. 3 at Biddeford High School.
