Boothbay wins two at Augusta tournament

The Boothbay Region High School girls varsity basketball team won two games Friday at the Capitol City tournament at the Augusta Civic Center.
In the first game, Page Brown scored 32 points as the Seahawks defeated the Maranacook Black Bears, 64-42. Faith Blethen added 18 points, including two 3-pointers.
In the second game, Boothbay trounced the Cony Rams, 60-33. Brown scored 20 points to lead the Seahawks and Faith Blethen added 15 points, including three 3-pointers.
The Seahawks will return to conference play on Wednesday, Jan. 3 when they host the Wiscasset Wolverines at 7 p.m.
