Both Boothbay Region High School boys and girls varsity basketball teams have been selected to compete in the Mountain Valley Conference Championship at the Augusta Civic Center, February 11. 

The Boothbay Seahawks (16-1) will be playing first against the Dirigo Cougars (16-1) at 5:30 p.m., followed by the Lady Seahawks (15-2) who will face Spruce Mountain (17-0) at 7:30 p.m. 

The MVC-sponsored tournament is based on individual team records and Heal point standings, and will also honor All-Star athletes between games. Boothbay freshman Genevieve Taylor will be singing the National Anthem.
