Harbor Fest donations

    Dear Editor:

    The final accounting has been completed for the fundraiser events associated with Harbor Fest.  

    Although Harbor Fest is not a non-profit organization, and is not missioned for charitable fundraising (its mission is to support and enhance for profit local business growth), it does generate charitable funds for our local community each year, this year totaling $5,500.

    Fishin For Fashion Show: $2,500 to BRHS Senior Class Project Graduation. A very special thank you to event director Dana Paolillo, the senior class, and sponsors, First National Bank, Spruce Point Inn, Town Square Media, Maine Magazine, WMTW Channel 8, Townsquare Media, Springer’s Jewelers, Carousel Music Theater, Boothbay Harbor Inn and Boothbay Harbor Oceanside Golf Resort.

    5k & Half Marathon: $2,500.00 to the Diabetes Prevention Program, a collaborative program offered by BRYMCA, CLCYMCA and LincolnHealth.A very special thank you to YMCA, BRLT, Hunter de Garmo, Chief Hasch, Larry Brown and all public safety volunteers, Official race sponsor: Key Bank, and other sponsors: Boothbay Harbor Apparel, Hannaford, LincolnHealth, ONE Event Productions, J. Edward Knight, Knickerbocker Group, Dead River Company, First National Bank

    A donation was also made to BRLT for $500.

    And I wish to thank Kevin, Kathy, Lisa and Suzi of the Boothbay Register for the time, effort and community team work that you contributed to Harbor Fest. I think you all are awesome!
