First National Bank donates to local food pantry
First National Bank recently announced that it has made donations totaling $14,500 to 20 food banks in bank’s market area.
“First National Bank is grateful for the critical services that our food banks provide to our neighbors in need,” remarked Tony C. McKim, president and CEO. “As a Maine community bank, it is our goal to respond to the needs of these vital organizations that serve and help these families put food on the table.”
Boothbay Region Food Pantry, located at the Congregational Church in Boothbay Harbor, was a recipient of these funds. The pantry was formed in 1985, and serves over 4,800 individuals each year. They are open every Friday from noon to 2 p.m. and everyone is welcome. The pantry is always looking for more volunteers. For more information please call 207-350- 2962.
