Fill your tank for a great cause Aug. 27
On Saturday, Aug. 27 all across the state of Maine, volunteers will be offering to wash windshields and pump gas at Irving and Circle K gas stations for the benefit of Special Olympics Maine.
Locally, customers will have the opportunity to make a donation to their local team, as volunteers from the Boothbay Charities Classic Committee members and volunteers wash their windshields at the Boothbay Harbor Circle K store.
The Boothbay Charities Classic 26th annual event takes place on September 23 and 24, involving the Lobster Bake and Sports Auction on Friday that is open to the public and the main event of a full round of golf on Saturday.
A slew of celebrities from Hall of Fame sports figures to TV personalities attend annually.
