UPDATE: Two trucks and a car were involved in an accident shortly after 4 p.m. Wednesday, July 13 on Route 27 just north of Hammond Lumber.

Boothbay Harbor police and fire departments and Boothbay Region Ambulance Service attendants arrived within minutes.

According to Boothbay Harbor Police Sergeant Patrick Higgins, a car driven by a Florida couple stopped in the road to let a bus exit the former Harbor Motor Court. The bus was heading south.

“Then it was boom, boom. A pickup hit the car and a dump truck hit the pickup,” said Higgins.

Higgins said the couple, who drove their car into the former Harbor Motor Court lot after the collision, complained of having headaches. “They went to the hospital but were released,” said Higgins.

No charges will be filed on the accident, said Higgins.
