Interested in joining the Lincoln Festival Chorus?
Lincoln Festival Chorus, conducted by Anthony Antolini and accompanist Sean Fleming, has an exciting collaboration with the DaPonte String Quartet in a production of Vaughan Williams’ "Dona nobis pacem" (settings of poetry of Walt Whitman) for chorus, Suzanne Nance, soprano soloist, and John David Adams, bass soloist. The program will also include an American classic, Randal Thompson’s "Alleluia" with the string quartet accompaniment. The concerts this season will be at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, August 12 at Boothbay Harbor’s Opera House, and Sunday, August 14 at Bowdoin College Chapel.
Join the Lincoln Festival Chorus on Mondays, June 13 and 20, at 7 p.m. (Registration at 6:15 p.m.) Rehearsals are at the St. Columba’s Episcopal Church on Emery Lane in Boothbay Harbor. If you are undecided about joining the chorus, you may try it on June 20 before committing to sing for the summer. Dues are to be paid at the beginning of the Thursday, July 7, rehearsal. (Note: Rehearsals are usually on Monday.) Membership dues are $40 per person, no charge for students.
