Going, going ... gondola!
Thu, 08/20/2015 - 11:15am
Here’s your chance to own a valuable memento from New England's famous skiing history.
Howard and Dee Wright are giving up their most beloved Wildcat Mountain ski gondola.
It was made in Italy and was part of the first gondola systems in the east.
It will be auctioned off this Saturday, Aug. 22, at the Southport Firemen's Auction.
Don't miss this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to be the proud owner of such a unique part of skiing history. Just needs a little TLC, says Howard.
Drive by observations only at 35 Ebenecook Road, Southport.
It is hanging on a big pine tree on the right side of the road, on the way to Hodgdon Boat Yard. The gondola is between five and six feet tall.
