Curtain up at the Lincoln Theater
As we approach the Memorial Day weekend, we are starting to transition to our summer schedule. This summer we will be open six nights a week. Matinees will be fewer so that more time can be spent enjoying the outdoors.
The Lunchbox (PG, 1 hour 44 minutes, in Hindi)
Ritesh Batra’s charming debut, set in Mumbai. Two lonely souls, a neglected young housewife (Nimrat Kaur) and a middle-aged, widowed office worker (Irrfan Khan), pursue an anonymous correspondence that begins when a home-cooked lunch is delivered to the wrong place. Final screenings: Wednesday, May 21 and Thursday, May 22 at 2 and 7 p.m. Presented in partnership with Colby and Gale.
Bears (G, 1 hour 18 minutes)
In an epic story of breathtaking scale, Disneynature's new True Life Adventure "Bears" showcases a year in the life of a bear family as two impressionable young cubs are taught life's most important lessons. Set against a majestic Alaskan backdrop teeming with life, their journey begins as winter comes to an end and the bears emerge from hibernation to face the bitter cold. The world outside is exciting-but risky-as the cubs' playful descent down the mountain carries with it a looming threat of avalanches.
As the season changes from spring to summer, the brown bears must work hard to find food, while staying safe from rival male bears and predators, including an ever-present wolf. Plays Friday, May 23 at 2 and 7 p.m., Saturday, May 24 and Sunday May 25 at 2 and 7 p.m., Wednesday, May 28 at 7 p.m. and Thursday, May 29 at 2 and 7 p.m. Presented in partnership with Reny's.
