2025 Boothbay Region High School graduation events
It's mid-May and time to start thinking about the many local high school graduation events. The Boothbay Region High School class of 2025 will graduate 39 members who will be busy until Graduation Day, Friday, June 6.
On Thursday, May 15, members of the class have been invited to a Senior Sunrise breakfast at Robinson's Wharf on Southport at 6:30 a.m.
A Sunset Cruise for the seniors aboard one of Balmy Days Cruises' boats is scheduled for Thursday, May 22 at 6:30 p.m.
Wednesday, May 28 is the last day of classes for the seniors and teachers' awards will be presented during the morning. Six marching practices have been scheduled for the various events.
Boothbay Harbor Rotary Club will host the class of 2025 at the club's annual dinner for the graduating class at the Rotary Hall, Montgomery Road, at 6 p.m. Thursday, May 29.
Fun and games for the seniors will take place Friday, May 30 following marching practice during Senior Field Day.
New this year is an Alumni Lunch (taco bar) at Kaler's Restaurant on Sunday, June 1 from noon to 2 p.m. This event is free for graduates, and donations from other attendees are gratefully accepted, as this luncheon serves as a fundraiser for the Alumni Association. More information forthcoming on this event.
Local Masons will host their annual cookout for the graduating class at the Masonic Hall, Route 96, East Boothbay on Tuesday, June 3 at 6 p.m.
Awards Night/Donor Book Awards will be held in the BRHS gym on Wednesday, June 4 at 6 p.m.
The annual Grand March/Alumni Ball in the BRHS gym will be held Thursday, June 5 at 7 p.m. Doors open at 6 p.m. $5 admission.
Friday, June 6 is perhaps the busiest day for the class of 2025. Class Day ceremonies will begin at 8 a.m. in the gym, followed by the class walking through the halls at Boothbay Region Elementary School to the cheers of the younger students. Graduation will begin at 2 p.m. (doors open at 1 p.m.). A car parade through town and around Boothbay Center will begin at the high school at 4 p.m.
The seniors' Project Graduation trip to Boston will depart from the school that evening.
