I was not able to attend the Men’s Lunch last week. I had a date with Natalie at the Gregory Wing – sorry guys! Reliable sources inform us that attendance was small but the core was there. 

The Lunch Bunch will meet weekly at the same time and day, which happens to be high noon on Wednesday. When and if you are in our region during the offseason, plan to join in. The Men meet at Mr. C’s; news of the Ladies schedule hasn’t crossed the wires yet but it will be published A.S.A.P. Remember – they won’t talk about you if you’re there. 

I think that many of us are stepping back to take a couple of deep breaths after such an active Boothbay Harbor Yacht Club summer season. It has been so enjoyable with the Weather Fairy on our side. Main complaint; it goes by so quickly. 

The Thursday evening party was slow to get underway with fewer members and guests than at any time during the season. The prediction is that it will pick up; the parties are for us to enjoy well into October. Remember to bring along an edible. It doesn’t have to be a standing rib-roast, just something to munch on. 

Bridge and Mahjong will continue and the fall Work-Day and Potluck are coming up. If you have not downloaded the Boothbay Harbor Yacht Club calendar, check it out. See you around the campus – just not as often.
