The Boothbay Region High School Seahawks football team won its first game of the season Friday night, Sept. 14 with a 50-0 defeat of the Sacopee Valley Hawks at Hiram and are now 1-2. The team has lost two close games, 18-14 at home to Freeport and 24-19 at Old Orchard Beach. Sacopee Valley is 0-2 and has scored only one touchdown.
The Seahawks' senior contingent includes tight end and defensive back Jesse Peters, tight end and linebacker Nate Colcord, running back and linebacker Kameron Markee, fullback and linebacker Cormac Miller, offensive guard and linebacker Tommy Smith and offensive and defensive lineman (as well as punter) Lincoln Simmons.
