Substance abuse shorts air on TV, website
Communities Against Substance Abuse (CASA) is a local coalition made up of community partners from Lincoln County: parents and concerned citizens; school partners; law enforcement and healthcare professionals. They have recently produced a dozen short public service announcements that will be airing on local public television.
The group is looking to raise awareness around the complex issue of substance use and abuse; and hopes to especially help start the conversation between parents and youth in the community. CASA always welcomes new members. Contact Healthy Lincoln County for more information, or to get involved: casa@healthylincolncounty.org or 207-563-1330.
Special thanks to KJ Flewelling, Athena Taylor and LCTV for their assistance in this project. The public service announcements will be aired on LCTV throughout the upcoming year in between programing. They will also be available to view on Healthy Lincoln County’s website, www.healthylincolncounty.com.
