BRHS boys doubles teams compete in state tournament

Boothbay Region High School’s boys tennis doubles teams competed in the state doubles tournament at Colby College in Waterville Thursday, May 15, reported coach Mark Gorey.
In the first round, Martin Hazlehurst (Waterville) and Michael Paules (W) def. Neal Baldwin (Boothbay) and Avery Fowlie (B) 6 - 1, 6 – 2; and Harry Hinckley (Boothbay) and Cole Hyson (B) def. Nolan Arthurs (Mattanawcook) and Braden Savage (M) 6 - 1, 6 - 4.
In the second round, #3 seed Blake Belanger (Brunswick) and Evan Williams (B) def. Harry Hinckley (Boothbay) and Cole Hyson (B) 6 - 4, 6 -0.
