Diabetes support group tackles continuous glucose monitoring
Join Registered Nurse and Certified Diabetes Educator Karen Lane for “Personal Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM)” at the September 25 meeting of the Lincoln County Healthcare Diabetes Support Group. The meeting will be held from 7 to 8:15 p.m. at Miles Memorial Hospital.
Learn how easy it is to keep close track of your blood sugars without frequent finger sticks. You can get a new blood sugar reading every five minutes automatically. These CGM devices have personalized high and low blood sugar alarms to help you to take action to prevent having blood sugars go too high or too low.
Come and see the advantages of CGMS. Would you like to know:
What your blood sugar is anytime of the day or night without doing a finger stick?
Whether or not your blood sugar is heading up or down?
Come to our September Diabetes Support Group and put your hands on this remarkable device and find out how you can get one for yourself.
The Lincoln County Healthcare Diabetes Support Group meets every other month, usually on the fourth Wednesday of the month, to share experiences and send the message that no one should have to deal with diabetes alone.
The Diabetes Education Program provides a range of services to diabetes patients and their families and has achieved accreditation by the American Association of Diabetes Educators for the provision of quality services.
