Burnt Island Lighthouse, Boothbay Harbor will be participating in the fourth annual Maine Open Lighthouse Day on Saturday, Sept. 14. Special admission time that day will be from 9 a.m. to noon. Maine Open Lighthouse Day is a collaboration between the U.S. Coast Guard, the state of Maine and the American Lighthouse Foundation. It was established to enlighten Maine residents and visitors about the state’s maritime heritage and the history of lighthouses.
